Jason Davis
Vice President, Southeast Division, Alabama Power
Jason Davis is Vice President of Alabama Power’s Southeast Division, where he oversees company operations across Southeast Alabama, based in Eufaula. Prior to this role, he served as Alabama Power’s director of Legislative Affairs and Policy, bringing vast experience in energy policy, regional operations, and electric utility marketing. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as serves on multiple boards across the state to aid in economic development and education efforts.

Evie Mauldin
Senior Vice President & Of Counsel, Bank Independent
Evelyn “Evie” VanSant Mauldin is Senior Vice President and Of Counsel at Bank Independent, where she has served for more than 45 years. A licensed attorney and longtime civic leader, she also serves as a Trustee of the University of Alabama System, representing Alabama’s Fourth Congressional District. Mauldin earned her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and has been active with organizations including the American Cancer Society, United Way, and the Tornado Recovery Action Council of Alabama.

Jamie Troutman

Cullman Economic Development Agency
Jamie Troutman serves as Executive Director of the Cullman Economic Development Agency, where she leads industrial and retail recruitment and retention efforts, community development projects, and governmental affairs. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in helping secure major grant opportunities and advancing projects that have contributed to the creation of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in capital investment across the Cullman community. In addition to her local leadership, Troutman has played a significant role in advancing legislation that strengthens economic development efforts throughout Alabama. She is an elected member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA) Board of Directors and currently serves on the Executive Committee as Past President and on the Legislative Committee.

Jeff Samz
President & CEO,
Huntsville Hospital Health System
Jeff Samz is President and Chief Executive Officer of Huntsville Hospital Health System, one of the largest healthcare systems in the Southeast, spanning 15 hospitals and numerous ambulatory locations across north Alabama. He brings over 28 years of health administration experience from institutions including Vanderbilt Health, Duke Health, and Mission Health. Samz serves as Chair of the Alabama Hospital Association, Immediate Past Chair of the Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center Foundation, and Treasurer of the Business Council of Alabama. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill and an MBA from Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management.

Dawn Bulgarella
Chief Executive Officer,
UAB Health System
Dawn Bulgarella serves as Chief Executive Officer of the UAB Health System, one of the Southeast’s most comprehensive academic medical systems inclusive of 15-owned and affiliated hospitals. She serves as a board member for both the Alabama Hospital Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges, providing her the opportunity to engage in healthcare strategic leadership at the state and national level. Bulgarella holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Health Administration from UAB. She is involved in many professional and community associations across the state of Alabama.

Russell Tyner
President & CEO,
Baptist Health
Russell Tyner has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health since 2004, guiding the Montgomery-based health system through more than two decades of growth and innovation. He brings over 30 years of senior executive experience in hospital operations, market strategy, and multi-system integration. Tyner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Alabama and received advanced healthcare education at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
